What if in the Symphony of Time, Value and Money you could find your own Rhythm?

“Lost time is never found again.”- Sir Benjamin Franklin.

“Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value”- Sir Albert Einstein.

“The more you learn, the more you earn”- Sir Warren Buffet.

All three very famous quotes sung out by our favourite personalities, all three of them speaking facts that would certainly prove to be of utmost truth, all three legendaries who have experienced the factuality behind their words, but when one comes across the question of “which is more crucial?”, What would their answer be?

It would be a herculean task if one gets asked the question of which among the three they would place above the other. This article is thus getting written for us to de-code the ranking together. Let us begin, Shall we?

Hierarchy among time, value and money are such topics that entice one to ponder over their core beliefs.

One may place Time above all, for time and tide does wait for none. In the era where ideas are struck in a split second, a few minutes could mean revolutionary.

Another would position Values over the other two and it would completely be justified as one is utterly defined by the set of values one upholds and exhibits in their whole existence.

There would be another person who would grade Money the highest amongst the three with a perfect reasoning, for money possesses within itself to shed life upon a person who is in the brink of giving it all up. Money is muscular enough to beautify a common man’s life by availing all the necessities, material possessions and luxuries.

But what is one without punctuality, perfect set of values backing up and financial stability at the end of the day?

A person would amount to nothing more than a speck of dust without such components inking one’s character.

The premise under which one would answer in a non-diplomatic way to such a question is when one is sure that they are not judged, or when they discover that their answer would not induce harsh critics. This article has uncovered the fact that its readers would appreciate the author’s views on the subject, which is the reason why, in this latter half of the article the author has decided to proceed with blasting her thoughts out in open – Values makes a person who they are.”

Does it mean I am devaluing time or money? Absolutely not.

All the three are meant to go hand in hand, for the absence of one component would be felt and the prevalence of other two would not be heavy enough to cover up the absence.

Values are the foundation to a person. One can compromise on money few times and on time fewer times, but values are not meant to be compromised.

Good values can make a venture exceptional. It hold within itself the potential to create a life as disciplined and as positive to be excited to live another day in a magnificent way. It can level-up one’s rapport exceptionally, for our values define us, they are the foundation to build a life that stands the test of time. It can flip a monotonous culture prevalent on a corporate level and escalate uphill over time. Values build or destroy one’s being, the stronger ones grip on the brighter values, the sooner the success would reach them.

Like any company’s vision and mission statement expresses their values clearly, a person’s life motto and their actions underlined with their values and beliefs will define their life on a graph if drawn.

Though the need to respect time and money is paramount in this day and age, it is as essential to know that the successful ones are not those who win, but rather are those who do not give up on their values.

A beautiful anecdote to share would be how values get moulded and influenced to develop positively. A teacher of mine never surprises me when it comes to their devotion towards their work. It is always awe-inspiring when I come across any glimpse on how dedicated and involved they are in their work. This experience to closely witness their definition of passion and love towards their work, serves as a stimulus for many of their kids, including me, to love what we do! To love this beautiful course called Chartered Accountancy, to ensure we do justice to their efforts towards grooming us better. For in the world of numbers we will become story-tellers and strive at becoming “PARTNERS IN NATION BUILDING”.

Wrapping this article with a subtle melody which needs to echo within us when we face a situation which would ask us to shift and de-track from our values in pursuit of bigger and greater things;

“The measure of a person lies not in wealth or power but in the richness of their values”

WHAT IF, we vow to build ourselves in the midst of fortunes or ill-fortunes, to strengthen our values and bury our legs an inch deep into the ground, striving towards a life built on rich values????

Thank you for reading through with great patience! Jai Hind
